Current Situation Our environment is in constant deterioration caused by the in discriminated use of its natural resources. We know that as individuals and as a country, we must seek development in different areas, however, this doesn’t mean that the harmony between men and nature should be broken. This has been precisely the problem that has prevailed since the Industrial Revolution until our present time; causing disasters to our planet, such as the loss of the ozone layer, the extinction of flora and fauna, the contamination of water resources, etc… Each human being on this earth can do many things in favor of our planet, which means, that we can achieve concrete actions either as groups or as individuals in nature’s benefit. We can attain a sustainable development that will restore the balance to our planet. You, me, us, can make the difference, we can contribute to improve the future of humanity. Projects Costa Rica has a great natural richness, even though it has been very affected in recent years, due to the mismanagement of the natural resources. Nature’s Godparents will initiate its conservation project in the northern part of Costa Rica, the area is located in Sahíno de Pital de San Carlos and has an extension of 13 hectares and 504 square meters. The future projects are located in: El Ojoche, Pital de San Carlos, northern Costa Rica, with an extension of 151 hectares. Linda Vista de Río Claro, southern Costa Rica, with an extension of 7 hectares. Península de Osa, southern Costa Rica, with an extension of 61 hectares. All of them have primary and secondary forests and a great variety of species in their flora (almendros, botarramas, caobilla, cedro, etc…) and in their fauna (toucans, macaws, sparrow hawks, peahens, congo monkeys, peccary, jaguars, ocelots, sloths, etc…) These lands are being affected by the increase of the agricultural growth, the wood exploitation and tourist developments; altering all the ecosystems. Because of this situation, we made the decision to protect them. With our work and your collaboration, we pretend to acquire more areas with forests and other areas that need to be reforested.
